can't get my cpu started
help i upgraded my cpu to 98 then it rebooted then frze next i rebooted it then it stood on dos mode and said win.com missing can't load windows what does it mean how can i fix this should i reformat and how? thank you

Yes, I believe the best thing you can do is format and reinstall Win98. In order to do that, you need a Win98 Bootable disk. You can download one from here: www.bootdisk.com
Your current installation is faulty somehow.

Do you know how to format in dos, because i agree, that would probably be the best thing. just format and fdisk, then re-install windows. As for the boot disk, if you are using the win98 upgrade, then you would just re-install the first version of windows you had on there, and then install 98.

Formating in DOS:
When everything's loaded just say "format c:/u" and press enter. Follow the instructions on screen.
Reinstall after...good luck

MAKE SURE YOU FORMAT AFTER YOU FDISK OR YOU ARE GOING TO BE IN A REALLY SORRY CIRCLE !
