no mouse
I am trying to get a computer back to working that has Win 98SE. When I run the setup for Windows the mouse shows up and everything works fine but when I boot into Windows itself, there is no mouse. I do not mean that the mouse does not work but the pointer is stuck in the center of the screen. There simply is not a pointer at all.
Has anyone ever seen this and if so how do I fix it?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide and if you need any more info just let me know

More info is needed. How is the mouse connected - ps2, usb, serial? Does the mouse appear in device manager? Have you checked the bios to ensure that mouse support is enabled?

Ok brain fart forgot to check the divice manager. It said the driver could not be started, replaced the driver with on downloaded from MS rebooted and the mouse is now working fine.
I feel so stupid but am not completely suprised with how busy I have been.
