Greetings and Salutations ,
I tried installing 98 after i reformatted and the os doesn't run , ran fdisk and came up with this pop-up (c:\DIR00001\ is damaged and unusable)
^--there are some characters that i can't find (looks like division )
Any way to fix problem so i can install os ? There is no os currently installed on computer .

if you don't need any data off the drive and are just ready to wipe it and start clean I would suggest you download the appropriate manufacters diagnostic/setup disks and first run a quick low level format, then use the setup program to partition and format the drive. then just pop in your 98 install cd and you're off
P.S. it wouldn't be a bad idea to run disk diagnostics on the drive either.
and this nifty little cd has all the major disk utilities on it....plus other goodies

Basically, whichever one you download will end up being an ISO. The *.exe and *.zip files extract the ISO. You'll need a cd burner with software that can burn an ISO image to cd in order to use this...
