Win 98SE setup problem!
when i try to install win 98 se on a soyo socket 7 with an amd k6-2 500mhz cpu 256mb ram i get this message....
Invalid true type font detected.
an application used a true type font that caused an error in windows.
Quit all applications, and restart windows.
this is the first message i see when i try to start the windows set up.
what on earth is going on
btw this is a brand new western digital 40 gig 7200 rpm hard drive formatted for the first time.

Try reseating your RAM. If you continue to get that error, replace the RAM.

is the drive correctly detected?
i take it you've installed from this windows disc before. check the disc for scatches, also make sure the drive is reading properly, try copying the cab files to a directory on the hard drive.

When this happened to me, strange unrelated error messages, it was because the CPU was overheating. Check your fan to see if its working and your temp is okay.
