A much needed day off on Saturday, when my few remaining hairs on my head will be trimmed, followed by a funeral and a POKER GAME!
Sunday I will go back to work.

Sorry to hear about the funeral.

Nothing cheers me up better than poker though. You guys play Stud or Hold 'em?

These guys have so many variations, that you never know. Anything from straight Five Card Draw, to weird Stud games with too many wild cards. It is just friends and no one is allowed to invest more than $50. Mostly it is lessons in "Advanced Whining Techniques"

Sounds like our poker games. We play small change, $5 or $10. We play a lot of Hold em. We also play some crazy stud games....like 444. 4 down, 4 up, 4s wild. You never feel confident in that game with less than a full house.

Yeah, it is getting rather sad cause all anyone wants to play is Hold em, and usually no limit hold em at that.

So used to haveing many games, 5 card stud and draw, 7 stud and draw, other variations, Mexican sweat, Screw your neighbor, between the posts, indian, even occaisional black jack.

Hell, poker's given me a second income. Thanks to poker I got a new AC, TiVo, some video games and a wad of cash bankrolled to keep the fun going. The guys I play with play almost exclusively no limit hold 'em, but I'm trying to get them to play some other games like 7 stud and Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better.

FOr me and my buddies it is a way to get the married ones out with those of us who ain't married. Drinkin, having fun, shooting the ****, and playin the games as long as possible is more important then the money.

And now I won't have to take the breaks to go smoke

Good times. There are a couple of guys in the regular game that get on my nerves. One in particular. It just seems more fun when I take HIS money. And the best part is that he sucks so much he almost never gets mine.

But I've really gotten into it. It's gone past hobby at this point. I read the books, post at a message board. I try to go to the casino 4 or 5 times a year. At first I thought I might be addicted, but then I realized I couldn't be because I keep winning.

That's a whole lot of what our games are about. We have a good time.
