MSDN is, as it's for "development" use and testing only. But I receive new DVDs full of updated stuff at least monthly, sometimes more often.

I guess the easiest answer is you do get the upgrade, but in most cases (as with the MS Office suites) you get entirely new disk with the new licenses and product codes.
I may not be conveying that exactly right, but that is the gist of it.
This last distro was awesome! Win XP Pro Release 2, MS One Note, + a lot of other goodies!
I only post using 100% recycled electrons!!!
