gotta buy old parts
I'm looking to get a replacement mobo or maybe a mobo/processor combo for a older computer. ( a celeron 466mhz).
I don't want to go thru all the Ebay nonsense. I want to buy the part(s) and know they will work
any recommendations?

Why? Your not going to find them anywhere, and if you do, they will cost as much as a celeron 2.0 and matching Mother board.
Check www.newegg.com

that's what I was debating between a fixer upper or just buy new mobo/proc/ram
it is repair for a friend, so if I see prices on used stuff that will sway the dabate

Best bet is to scrap the search and just take the plunge and get a new mobo/cpu. I've used computergeeks.com before to find older parts, but that doesn't always work out...just this week I went looking for an older Socket 370 motherboard and became aware of just how rare these are getting.

When I was just a wee laddie, I used to advertise in the classified section "WANTED SPARE COMPUTER PARTS CASH PAID" and the searching was done for me
