That is most stinky Freddy ! I won't use any cash machine that makes a charge ! Its a diabolical liberty charging you to take the damn stuff out !
iwill go to the banking ombudsman.
Too right ! - I'd also make a protest/point in your local branch (as the ombudsman is slow & tortuous & mayn't actually be able to do anything directly for you yet be agreeing) - infact a mate of mine did just that many moons ago over something similar & the branch manager rather than listening took great exception & called the police who turned up & informed the manager that it was probably Fraud or Theft & that if he wanted to pursue his insistence on having my mate charged, then he could come along too ! Strangely they then listened & did the refund - you mayn't be so lucky & get such a friendly policeman ( so go steady )!

my bank is doing everything they can,
it came as a bit of a shockto link , that this ere, cowboy outfit was,nt a member of the FSA ,,,
but after detailed checking of there rules ,,,,it seems that they don,t have to be.
i don,t think watchdog can / will help ,,
a good suggestion ,, was that i take brittania to the small claims court (for failing to reply to me within 8 days + post time) ,,,they would have to send a representative ,,,and of corse link would have to be reprosented ,,,,,,,,that will cost them.
they are both eager to return £30 ,,,but i have actualy got the firm "travelex " for theft of £1.50 from my account.
I WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS ,,,as i have been called a lyer ,,twice by this company ,,,
the fact that you have a link logo on your card , is supposed to protect you???????????????? or not????
travelex ,have broken link rules , by not replying within 8 days ,,,,,
let the blood flow ,,,,and a batch of machines be shut down

Superglue and a thin piece of plastic can do wonders with a charging cash machine!

Fraid its a case of Caveat Emptor
I usually avoid the buggers, but bear in mind the car costs 30p/mile they can prove cheaper. Usually try and pull a large amount out for the weeks expenses and it still only stuffs me for £1.50.
Bear in mind a lot of these machine companies are actually owned by the High Street banks. Yet another way to shaft you.

Thats 'buyer beware' for anyone not fluent
Yup & its also a way to futher abuse the notion of limited liability & seperate trading names abused terribly by big business - yet more 'stinky pooh' from the Uk Banking industry ! & the sooner whatever the hell government department should sort this out gets it together the better, I think the monopolies & mergers lot are onto this 'scam' already, but whether that can actually help Freddy I dunno ..
