My parents let me try different alcoholic drinks, and probably would have let me drink a little of them, but everything I tried I didn't like.

I don't drink now because I've yet to try an alcoholic drink that I really like.

1st time when I was 9 or 10 my parents gave me to taste some beer or wine I guess, tried some stronger ones later (vodka-like) but didn't like it. Also drank champaign on occasions as a teen, scotch and cognac at 15-16. But it was in a different country without all this underage drinking bull (10 yr old could go to the store and buy a bottle and a pack of cigarettes for his dad ). And with all that underage 'drinking' I have never got drunk to this day.

I can honestly say I didn't.....my biological father is a major alcoholic and growing up around all that made me not want to drink then, and I rarely do even now.

Yup. Pretty much the same story here. My dad wasn't a bad alcoholic, but enough so to ruin any desires I might have had to drink.
