    Resolved [RESOLVED] microsoft and me and xp and 2000

    just curious as to your thoughts about it seems that microsoft comes out with a new o/s every fiscal year...are they trying to line their pockets or is the competetion that strong..i don't thinks its the second of the two, but opinions are just that, what is yours??

    Cool

    Software companies (I work for one) have to come out with 'new' and 'improved' products every so often (perhaps every year), to keep the public aware that their product is out there. Micro$oft is no exception. However, it should be better than the previous release. Micro$oft's products don't always meet that requirement.

    Just my opinion...

    LOL. Thats for sure. ME is not better than 98se. At least for business use. It is way quirky. For personal use ME is great. But do not use on a large network.

    Just my opinion...

    isn't microsoft trying to pull away of using 95/98 and more to just 2000 pro on their business and large network environments??

    Have used Win Me on several new systems and have had no problems, but wactch out for upgrades on Customers Hardware issues same for Win 2K. Have not reviewed the beta for XP yet, but will ASAP.
