autoplay missing!
When I right click on the cd icon in “my computer” the autoplay facility is missing and I have to browse the cd-rom to find the autoplay file then it works, any one know how or why this has happened and how I fix it?
Thanks in advance Greg

Open Control panel -> System -> Device Manager. Double click on your CDROM. On the Settings tab, make sure the "Auto Insert Notification" check box is checked. If not, please check it.
If the problem persits, use Registry Editor (Start -> Run -> regedit) to locate the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer
Modify the value for the NoDriveTypeAutoRun key to 0000 95 00 00 00

once you have that going if you ever don't want the cd to auto play when you insert it, Just hold down the shift key for 4-5 secs while you close the drive.
