    os install

    does it make difference how you install the os on a laptop as opposed to a desktop?you get the choices :typical ---custom--- ......windows does a scan
    then a question about a/the laptop comes up.

    There is nothing you have to do different. Just make sure you at least round the NIC or modem driver before you start so that you can grab the rest of the drivers when you are done.
