Make Love Not Spam
Go here for a screen saver that will request data from spam sites and send it to the spam databases. With a lot of people using this it slows the spammers or at least makes them pay for the extra bandwidth (it will not actually DOS the websites or database servers, it's just slows them). Best thing is it's legal.

Yeah, well I posted it in the lounge. Where people will actually see it. This is an important tool to fight spam. I urge you all to use it. I sure as hell will.

This was expected I assume.
Spammers are suspected of hacking into and downing Lycos’s anti-spam Web site just hours after it went live. The Web site is currently inaccessible and could also be the victim of a DDoS attack.
Story Here
Hopefully they will get back up. As of 7:19AM chicago time,The Sites Still down.

Seems to me it just adds more traffic to your network; not something I would want to install.

not something i'd recommend installing, it'll chew up bandwidth. Plus make your ip know to the very people who thrive on infecting computers. If i was going to launch an offensive against these companies, i'd do it in a much more intelligent way.
