[RESOLVED] Windows Me
I have installed Windows ME on two systems from OEM CD onto new hard drives. I didn't encounter any issues but noticed when the systems boot up, the Windows ME splash screen appears for less than a second, followed by a black screen until boot up is finished. My question is: How can I get the splash screen to display properly during the whole boot up period?

This could be less of an issue with Win ME and more of an issue with the computer itself. My computer is the same way, it will display the Win ME splash screen for a few seconds and then goes back to the blank screen until it's finished loading, but it did this with Win 98 as well so it may not be anything you can change.

Splash Screen in ME??
It's designed to only show for a few seconds. Though, in 98, it should show longer? but ME....... about 3 seconds is the default time. Usually (I suppose it depends on the speed of your PC) that 3+ seconds, is more than enough, to take you into the Desktop!
