    Resolved [RESOLVED] Intranet Mayhem

I am currently looking at a PC running Windows 98se and IE6. It has all the latest updates and drivers but still I cannot figure out this problem. Whenever I go onto the Intranet it crashes, but more like a hardware crash the whole thing just freezes up.

It is fine on the Internet and any other program it just doesn’t like the Intranet. There’s nothing wrong with our Intranet site because over 2000 PC’s a day access it without any problems at all. I did a format and fresh install but the PC is still there.

    All help is greatly welcome.

Well I changed the NIC and it did work for a little while, I then installed IE5.5 with sp2 and things went funny again.

    Any other ideas?

Don't know if this will help, but I installed IE6 on my ME computer and it didn't finish installing because the wininit.exe file couldn't process the wininit.ini file for some reason. On the reboot after installing it had error messages (couldn't change file %1 to %2). IE6 would work, but all of the features were messed up and it would crash randomly untill I replaced the files manually.

    Did this happen? Just checking.
