Flashback to my youth.
I remember going to the store when I was little and buying these things. They were usually broken after 15 minutes, but they were damn fun. Who needs expensive toys when you've got theses!

the good ole days. anyone ever get the big styrafoam (sp?) ones? where the final toss was the one where it hit head first and the wings broke off.....

I know. We paid about $.35-.50 depending on if they had props or not. Now the friggin COST is $.70.

the smaller balsa wood ones that were just gliders were a nickel (damn i feel old) and the bigger powered ones were a quarter. i think i was able to keep one for a week before it broke.

Balsa? LUXURY!
Ours were just compressed styrofoam and about the same size.
My fav was the Spitfire.
Gonna have to go find some for the boy now.

I remember all of those.
I think i had just about every balsa one that is shown there at one time or another.
I also had just about all of the smaller styrofoam ones as a kid too
