    home monitoring help needed

    I have an Intel web cam, Windows XP, Linksys BEFSR41 router, and this is what I'd like to accomplish:

    I'd like to know if there's a way I could use these components for remote monitoring via internet. All of my computers are statically assigned to the router and my dynamic i.p. is linked to a domain name from dyndns.org.
    All I want to do is monitor a room in my house from the webcam & see it online from any internet connection. Any help provided would be appreciated.

    Ronin,

    You may want to have a look at this product. I'm not a salesman, but I came across these looking for something else.

    Linksys Wired and Wireless Camera

    Also, I trust you are going to do this for security reasons, or you may have legality issues to think about. This link has some info on that;

    A friend of mine where I used to work back in 2001 did exactly that, so I know it's possible.

    I'll see if I can reach him and ask some pointers.

    To be honest, the objective of this project is to be able to check on my dog while I'm at work. What can I say? I love my puppy.
