One line
when i boot my computer up.it runs the anti-
virus program.I cannot get rid of the program
Here is the line that i get before the
Windows software starts--
"C:\PROGRAM~1\NETWORK~1\MCAFREE~\SCAN.EXE\C:

Are you sure there is no ; before the last C:?
I would try to type "rem " at the beginning of the line, without the quotes.

That line is loading from your Autoexec.bat file. To remove it click on your Start Button, then Run and type Sysedit and click OK. In the window titled Autoexec.bat either put a REM in front of the line or just delete it and then save and exit.

Or uninstall McAfee's and install a different AV program. It is this line that cause a lot of machines to have problems with McAfee's (especially with ME).
