Resolved [RESOLVED] DirectCD & Easy CD Creator

I recently put in a CD-RW into my system.
The drive seems to work fine, but when I tey to use Direct Cd or CreateCd, they freeze up... I set up the drive as a master secondary, with my regular cdrom as a primary slave and my HD as the primary master. That part is right, right?? I have the first edition of Win98, just for reference.

I usually setup a burner as Secondary Master. It can but shouldn't make a difference. What versions of the Adaptec products are you using? You can go to www.roxio.com and download updates which might solve your problem.

I have DirectCd v3.01c and CreateCD v4.02, both of which came with my burner.

Set your BIOS to run your IDE channels in DMA mode. It helps a lot with CD burners...
