    Jacksonville vs. Greenbay

Anybody else see Robert Ferguson get clotheslined by Donovin Darius?

Not a huge fan of either team but that's just such a cheap shot. I noticed they got him (Darius) out of the stadium pretty fast after he was ejected....that crowd was pi$$ed!
Frerguson just got a sprained neck so he'll be okay, but damn what a shot he took!

I missed that, but he needs more than just a 1 game ejection for **** like that. These guys are paid a lot of money to play this sport, and they need to act professionally.

Clothes lining used to be a major part of the game, which is about beating the **** out of the next guy. Someone got hurt, life goes on.

I do not think that it was intentional. He was trying to knock the pass away, and did not get him arm out of the way in time. It was not a intentional dirty play. I think that the suspension is correct, otherwise others would try to get away with it. Being our division rivals, they showed it over and over on the news, and my opinion is that it was accidental.

Even if it was on purpose, so what? All's fair in love, war, and football...

Back in my playing daze (ummm...jeez early in the Carter Administration) a good clothesline was just too great to pass up.
That being said I know the danger of the hit and why the NFL is banning them, see also the helmet to helmet hits.

That being said who remembers this line from one of the greatest football movies ever?

I know that, but a cheap shot like that could leave somebody paralyzed or worse.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a good brawl, but not cheapshots.
