network ,wingate and run time error 53
Info: 2 computers home phone line network with wingate. server -win 98 AOL 5 ie 5
client win 98SE; IE 5.01( has host file set up)
problem 1 the client computer must be turned on before the server or network neighborhood won't work.
problem 2 run time error 53 file not found on server puter( happens just after desktop loads)
problem 3 client puter gets wingate message ( too many usuers connected for your wingate licence try again later)every now and then
problem 4 I don't know how to fix problems 1;2; and 3.
problem 5 client puter is very fast loading pages when it uses its own modem to connect but going through wingate and the server puter it is very slow.sometimes have to refresh 3 times to get the page to load.
Think all this is related??

They have a special step-by-step instuctions to load wingate with AOL, on www.wingate.com
Actually it is wingate.deerfield, but I can't remember the correct address.
The one above will get you there.

thanks for your reply. My first post here and I forgot to check back. I hate when you try to help someone and don't get a responce. sorry about that. Anyway 24 hours after this post I got a call from my cable TV company . they have internet acess available in my aera. 10MB/s download .
If I get 2 modems $100 each the service costs $30/month. Cheaper than my 5Kb/s ISP and second phone line.Don't need wingate anymore.GEE dessions ; what do I do? 5Kb/ or 10MB/s? Ben
