Bereaved Cat Owner Gets $50,000 Clone

The first cloned-to-order pet sold in the United States is named Little Nicky, a 9-week-old kitten delivered to a Texas woman saddened by the loss of a cat she had owned for 17 years.

The kitten cost its owner $50,000 and was created from DNA from her beloved cat, named Nicky, who died last year.

The company that created Little Nicky, Sausalito-based Genetic Savings and Clone, said it hopes by May to have produced the world's first cloned dog -- a much more lucrative market than cats.

Sadly, Little Nicky suffered from what the cloners call "Pet Semetary Syndrome", and ate the woman while she slept.

So now I guess we have to clone pets because it's not like there are a gazillion little critters struggling to survive that would like to be adopted and have homes. Cloning a pet like this is absurd.

And one more thing,... Genetic Savings and Clone? What -- are you kidding me? For a company like this, and they couldn't think of something more original than to rip off the name of a bank which doesn't even have anything to do with genetic science? "Oh I got an idea,.. we'll call it Genetic Savings and Clone!" "Oh,.. great idea,.. just like that bank! Wow,.. you are brilliant!!" Damn this world is getting dumber every day. And yes I'm in a good mood,.. not trying to rant just before leaving for the holiday break,.. but stuff like this, to me, is sooooo friggin stupid.

Yup,.. how arrogant. These tards spend $50K on cloning a pet when there are homeless children, starving people, unwanted cats and dogs, etc. So many things that $50K could've gone to, but nooooo,... we'll spend it on an unethical novelty.
