Delete SHDOCBL.DLL IETLBASS.DLL MSMSGUI.EXE
I have hunted down some spyware that Spy Sweeper wouldn't fix. I've reported the files so it will soon. Search and delete the 3 files in the subject. The first of them is similarly named to an IE file.

DPED.DLL is another in this set of spyware files. Delete any registry entries with these files. Theres one key that has references to them all so delete it.

Good heads up Fraser.
Now, report that to the two s/w firms that TechZ mentions, because they also work on malware. And, they are two of the useful tools that most techs use, and we should be reporting new "bugs" to them. After all, we use their free s/w...so, we can at least help them.
Right?

Startpage.16.0
AVG anti-virus now recognises this Trojan horse I removed. They call it Startpage.16.0. Is there common names for viruses used or do different companies give them different names?

No all companies use the same name if its the same trojan/virus.
