I had the day off that day, was hanging around the house doing some work...it took about an hour after the second plane hit before I turned on the TV...after that I was glued to it for days. I don't remember much about that time, but I do remember a handful of shining lights and a few glimmers of hope amongst all of the ruin and chaos. Those were trying times for all of us. Put into perspective the recent Tsunami in the Indian Ocean killing 40k plus, we are all so insignificant, yet so precious, a true paradox.

I worked in a retail shop then, and it was odd, because we had not a single phone call for over 2 hours, and we had 5 lines that were usually all in use.
Sad times for America, although it was really nice to see the country pull together the way they did, really left you with a greater sense of pride to be an American.

Kinda like those 'flashbacks' in movies, this thread caught a momment in time that was interesting and sad to reflect on.

This is the oldest thread that I've posted on. That was a sad day. I remember how sad I felt when i heard about it that morning
