Seriously, there were a number of "notables" present there. Very popular resort in Thailand. Lots of LBFM action too.

Flabooble!
It's pronounced Poo-Ket.
Acording to the NYT it was the child molester capital of the world due to the young age of the hookers and all the pervs who went there on vacation. The Thai Govt. has cracked down on this recently and things are getting a better.

According to reports today the death toll will probably be over 100,000. To put that in perspective it's about 40 twin tower disasters. One third of those dead are reported to be children.
Watch some of the videos. Most of the people you see on the beaches in those videos are now dead.
Nature makes terrorists look pathetic!

I saw a blurb from the USGS today that said the earthquake actually "wobbled" the Earth's axis.
Folks that is a whole bunch of energy to cause that!

Oh man,.. I just watched the 3 main videos here at home on the good monitor with sound and that is just so horrible! I've never seen or heard of anything like this in my whole life. Those poor poor people. The man holding his wife and got brisked away by the wave and nothing anyone could do about it.
