Resolved [RESOLVED] My Computer won't compute

I'm using Win98SE and when I click on the "My Computer" icon all I see is a flashlight waving over a folder icon on an otherwise blank screen.
What do I need to do to recover my missing My Computer entries?
I'm particularly interested in gaining access to my Dial-Up Networking icon.

you probably have some device that doesn't load properly..

like a CD-ROM that doesn't work, A mapped network drive etc..

remove them and it will work..

Perhaps you could have a cable problem too... i.e. your floppy could be loose connected or something similar

    Thumbs up

Thanks for your replies. The answer was a partial install of Internet Connection Sharing.
