Thinking of a trip...

I was supposed to go to Boone on Wed. to Ski at Sugar Mtn. http://www.skisugar.com/sugarlive/ but with temps. here over 60 degrees for the last week I just cancelled this morning! CRAP!!!!

Shoot iceman I didn't realize your from my neck of the woods! My folks live about 2½ hrs North of Asheville (up near Tri-Cities VA/TN). I went to school at East Tennessee St. & Virginia Tech. I've been over to Sugar Mtn. a many time. Is Ski Beech still around?
I see Tekboy answered your question. "Skeeter's" are the State Bird of Alaska. The roads in AK are better in the winter becasuse the packed snow covers the potholes.

Unalaska is out in the Aluetians (Port of Dutch Harbor)...it's were the freighter Selendang AYU broke apart a few weeks ago and spilled a lot of fuel and soybeans. It's still an active spill. Several crew members were killed when a Coast Guard chopper went down.
