WinXP Local account userid & Domain
I currently have several computers that are members of the local domain and connected to the network, however they only log into the local computer account. This is creating login failures showing up on domain servers when they try and open there email account because the pc try to authenticate using the local computer account. Is there a way to turn off this is windows xp so it doesnt try to login into the domain using the local computer info?

Hi, Welcome to Windrivers....
First question, why do you have PC's in the domain that users log into local accounts for?
The best way to avoid any issues/errors etc would be to log the users into the domain. Is there a particular reason why you do things the way you are doing?
Or am I getting it all wrong and the PC's are not members of the domain?

user logins
The computers in question are on the domain. They are being used by multiple people under 1 id and because of new rules and regulations (Sarbanes Oxley) it just became easier to have the account log into the local pc, with access to the internet

Hi, not too up on the Sarbanes Oxley rules/regulations, however in answer to your question of stopping Windows XP using local account information to login to the domain.... nope, none that I am aware of.
The way I understand it works is the client (XP in this case) will automatically pass the current logon details it has to the server. Have you tried looking up the error codes from event viewer on support.microsoft.com to see if there are any clues there?
