Just a few pictures of neighborhood today. Susie and I took off for a 2½ mile hike on the trail around the house. As I've said the warm weather the last few days has melted just about all the snow around the house, but the mountains still have plenty. The temperatures have plunged back into the mid-20°F's and they are calling for cold, crisp, clear weather for the next 3 days. I head back up to work Saturday afternoon and I hear they've gotten about an extra 18" since I left.

This picture is taken of the Chugach Mountains to the North of my house. As you can see most of the yards are snow free except where the snow plows have left the snow.

Another picture of the Chugach Mountains from the top of the trail about a mile above my house.

This picture is of my constant walking companion Susie. The snow has melted but parts of the trail are very icy and slick. Needless to say I stayed on the left side in the vegetation. We all know my ummmm...history of dealing with ice.
