DVD Shrink as apposed to DVDXCOPY XPRESS

I am currently using dvdxcopy xpress version 3.2.1 but before I did I used DVD Shrink.

There was a movie that I own that I wanted to back up and would normally have required 2 discs, dvd shrink is supposed to shrink it to fit onto 1 disc, well I received a message from shrink telling me that the image was too large to fit and to please insert a disc with more space, as I do not have any DL discs I did not go any further.

Anyone got any ideas? as I really prefer DVD SHRINK to DVDXCOPY XPRESS

I use DVD Shrink all the time to "backup" movies. It's usually smart enough to figure out how to make it fit. Try again by deleting some menu items or something. Use a DVDRW so that you don't make too many coasters.

You might think about changing to I Copy DVDs 2 it cost about 40$ but it suports dual layer and higher speed burners. I have both and i copy works much better and compress the video down to fit on one dvd. It actulay only uses about an 1/8th of the disk.

I prefer encoding to Xvid/Divx, AutoGK for one button solution, me, I use GKnot, more hands on. www.doom9.org

Are you meaning that I should use Dual Layer DVD's?
