Intel Mod
Hi bob, welcome to WinDrivers.
I'm not completely sure what you're asking here, no further drivers are needed or available for ATAPI drives as Windows own internal drivers handle ATAPI natively.
Are you indicating that the drive is now called "ATAPH CD-R/RV 8 4 22" ?
Can you read any disks in it?

Thanks for your reply Platypus,
Yes you got me right, the drive is now called "ATAPH CD-R/RV 8 4 22" and it can't read any disk as it has been identify as Unknown devices.
In brief, i bought this computer from Tiny computers a while ago and it has all factory installed drivers, then my brother corrupted the whole pc with boot sector virus so i format the whole disk and installed XP (Previous OS was Win ME), everything is working fine apart from CD R/RW.

This'll be why ! - not all stuff that works with older o/s's will work with 'better' ones - generally stuff needs testing or certifying to work flawless with xp & carries a little 'designed for xp' sticker often.
Try us with the model number of your pc & we can maybe track stuff to fix you up - you probably want an updated bios methinks ..

& to answer your btw - bios flashing is a way of reprogramming the control bits that get the pc going, it shouldn't affect anything installed, but if it goes wrong during flashing it needs specialist techniques & stuff to get it going again (this is rare if instruction is followed ) - Have a look at this to see whats involved.
Yes you're right, it is from Tiny. I'm sorry i didn't get back last weekend, i don't know if you can still help me
cheers mate

So awol myself for a bit .. I looked for a bios for this before answering, but Tiny's support is so crumby , I couldn't even fathom what's in this machine ! - not being able to even find specs for it {something like Everest Home can help with these situations, its a utility to find out out yabout pc inards!} (somebody will if you still need help ? Obviously if you've given up etc there's no point looking ! ... So ?)

Did you run the everest home edition? What did it say about the motherboard?
