Exclamation *Help* Numbered icons will not arrange correctly

Hey everyone. I'd first like to let you know that I'm not a computer "n00b", I know alot about computers (I have Windows XP) and this isn't a stupid error on my part...Here's the story....

I downloaded "Game XP" a few days ago, and wasn't happy with it, and it screwed up many of my files...there's a couple errors it made as well. The main thing is, I have alot of my text documents saved as numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.), and they used to arrange themselves by number, now instead of it going 1,2,3 it goes 1,10,11,etc. I have tried arranging them by name but that doesn't do anything. I know that arranging them that way is probably the correct way to arrange them, but I'm asking because the way I had it before must be possible to get back and would be very convenient for me. If anyone can help or needs more system info, please ask. Thanks much.

http://freewebhosting.hostdepartment...ree/gamexp.htm I assume this is what you are reffering to Slater?

When you say that your text documents used to arrange themselves by numbers do you mean in Explorer or within the actual documents?

    emr

Edit: And welcome to Windrivers too by the way.

    Thank you all so much.

3xSeven777 - Game XP is basically a program that tweaks windows settings to improve game performance...when it didn't do that (not noticeable), I wanted to uninstall it (and sadly it came with NO uninstaller). I have Windows XP Home Edition with SP2 installed. All of my registry files should have been replaced, because I did a Windows XP repair (basically a reinstallation).

emr - Yup, that's the program all right. Horrible, horrible program, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The files in my folders were the ones being re-arranged the way I wasn't happy with.
Ps - Thanks for the welcome, I've been searching for a good forum to start on for awhile now.

TechZ - Ah...an answer. Thank you so much, I'm going to download Tweak UI before and I believe I've had a program like it before.
    ---

Thank you guys for all of your help...I'll be browsing the forums regulary and helping others out as well.

One more problem that happened after using Game XP...my thumbnails in folders appear to be larger, and if there is a tweak in Tweak UI to fix that, then my answer is solved, once again I've tried everything I can think of to fix it. If anyone has suggestions, I know it's kind of off topic, but it would be appreciated. Thanks all.

Ps - Writing gramatically correct is a bitch.

Yup TweakUI has that too, it can take care of the thumbnail issue and plenty more.

Well this is odd...I downloaded Tweak UI, it did fix my thumbnail problem. I checked the box for the filename sorting, rebooted, and it didn't do anything. I tried creating more files named in the same fashion, nothing. I am certain I am doing everything right...
