HP All-in-one keeps re-installing itself!
Hi
For some strange reason a few days ago my HP PSC1350 printer/scanner/copier decided to re-install the software at what I thought was a random moment, but it appears each time I close my DVD drive with a disk in is what triggers it. The drive has been there for a month or so, but this only started last week. I removed the DVD drive in the Device Manager and rebooted to allow windows (XP) to re-install the DVD drive, and did a software update for the printer but it still happens. I have done a full virus and spyware scan and nothing, so is my best bet to toally uninstall the printer and re-install from fresh?
Any help/advice (or ways to find out what's causing it) gratefully received
Regards
Martin

MegaMod
You will probably want to read up on HP All-in-One Products - Resolving Installation Problems for USB Connected All-in-One Products in Windows Lots of good info there. Also, notice the link about halfway down the page for Uninstalling the HP All-in-One Software.
You can also find Software & Driver downloads for WinXP here. There is a Critical Update as well as a couple of Utilities located there.
Good Luck!
