Stone Cold Dead
Computer was working fine as of about 9PM. Left it running and went to put the kids to bed and watch CSI. Came back around 10:30 and its off. Try turning it back on - nothing. No lights, no beeps. Not even the LED on the network interface. Nothing appears burnt. No bulging caps. I'm thinking power supply, but it seems odd that it would just die like that. Thoughts? I will try disconnecting everything but the CPU and one stick of RAM, but I'm not optomistic.
For what its worth, its an IBM Intellistation M (6230-20U). Has an MS-9128 motherboard (OEM). Power supply is AcBel 340W.
Probability factor of one to one...we have normality, I repeat we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.

Simple but maybe. See if you power cord is loose, or check your wall socket for burnt marks, they do burn out.

Switched power cord, switched outlet, swapped RAM, pulled battery, disconnected everything but CPU and RAM. No fans, no lights, no beeps.
Luckily, its one of the few occasions I own a product that is still under warranty. With on site service no less. I'm gonna let IBM come out and deal with swapping the PSU.

A wise decision!

Don't forget to check the circuit breaker (or fusebox if you have one).

lol...no, nothing that obvious. Everything else on the power strip was still working (monitor, router, modem).
