    PROBLEMS LOGGING OFF &SHUTTING DOWN

Hi! i'm using XP Home with SP2 and recently I am having problems logging off and ****ting down. Before shutting down i get a message saying Ccapp is not respong and I have to click end now then nothing happens at all. So I end up turning my computer off from the switch.

    Hope you can help thanks.

It won't let me run Live Upate it says it is already running in the background so I can't really do an update.
