Outlook email issue
Ok, we gots emails coming in from this dude at this company. HTML format. If you try to open it, it takes 15 seconds up to never. If you forward it, same thing happens. If I try to open a users folder that has it, my entire outlook freezes, yet I can open up their entire profile and get the same thing, slow opening time from that one person. Everything else works like a champ.
I am at a total loss on this one, any clues?

Simple solution...Company policy: for network security purposes HTML formatted emails are not an authorized form of correspondence!
Bottom line here, you have to start at the source...find out how he constructed the email, and go from there...maybe he’s linking something, or got a code running, or something that can be eliminated. Is this all of his emails, or just this one?
Oh wait, I just reread, this is outside correspondence coming in...damn, that's makes it tougher to start at the source.
What are you using as email editor, Word, or Outlook...

Both, I have tried it on 3 different computers. All with different logins including my admin password. Everything opens fine except those emails from this guy or if you go to the function of opening another users folder who has one of his emails.(which just locks up)
When the email does open, there is nothing to it, just a regular text email sent with HTML formatting. All other HTML emails open just fine.

Have you tried disabling your antivirus to see if it's being caused by some virus in the HTML?
I have similar problems with Eudora; when I get particular HTML e-mails, it crashes. I think it may be an anit-virus thing but I haven't had time to track it down. Though it's becoming more common on my machine and will require my attention soon.

We've got the same problem. When we goto webmail to check it, it's a corrupted email.

I would contact the sender and request that email to your company be sent as text. Whatever program he's using, he should be able to set that in the address book.

Just tried it from our web, goes real slow again, then keeps popping up with the security pop up about displaying non-secure items.
