no sound after i installed windows XP professional
I recently upgraded my memory and installed Windows XP. After I insalled it i have no sound now. In the Device Manageer a yellow exlamaytionis on the Multimedia Audio Controller and anytime i try to delete it and re install it i receive this message " Ac -link 3D Game Audio has not passed Windows Logo Testing to verify its componets with windows xp" So i am thinking my Multimedia and Ac llink is not working. HEre are the specs of my computer.
Comp: Gateway
Motherboard:
CPU Type Intel Pentium IIIE, 800 MHz (6 x 133)
Motherboard Name Unknown
Motherboard Chipset Intel Whitney i810E
System Memory 320 MB (SDRAM)
BIOS Type AMI (07/17/00)
Multimedia:
Audio Adapter Intel 82801AA I/O Controller Hub - AC'97 Audio Adapter
any help would be helpful

Welcome to windrivers chris. Ignore the logo testing warning and go ahead with the driver install.

Logo testing basically only means that the company in question submitted their drivers to MS for certification.
As in your case it doesnt strictly mean it wont work ,Go ahead and install and you should be fine
