Toshiba Stailite 440 CTX & PC 32 cards

    Hello all,

Im trying to get a Toshiba Stailite 440 CTX to reconize a new WiFi adapter.

According the the hard ware specs the toshiba should support PC cards at 32 bit (3.3 volt) and 16 bit (5 volts)

the WiFi card is 32 bit at 3.3 Volts.

when I plug the card into the machine nothing happens.

if I put it into another machine (newer) it works perfectly.

The OS is windows 98 SE, however the toshiba 44ctx is lacking in the remainng system requirements (600 mhz, 128 mb RAM) but I assumed that this was just for hte software and the hardware should still be detected.

I have flashed the BIOS to v.6.B0

do other cards work in the card ports? I've had several laptops that those ports just don't work anymore...
