What's your best and worst product support experience!

Worst; bought a home generator (Northern Tool) for back up power. Waited 3 weeks and no show. Called and spent an hour being switched from dept to dept to find out they could not ship to Calirornia, but forgot to let me know. And forgot to credit my credit card.

Best; bought a coffee grinder from (Bed & Bath-Quinsanart). Blade on grinder started to get loose after the first 3 weeks. Being a guy I tried to fix it and broke a platic part. So my fault and so called Quinsanart told them truthfully what I did and offered to buy a new grinding cup. They said no problem and would express it to me. And the best part is no replacement or shipping charge!

College IT help desk cannot upgrade the ram on the boxes in a particular classroom because dell uses proprietary ram and its too expensive.

There is not one single dell in this particular classroom.....they are all GA-6VMM-P

    Im the person called:

best: user cannot get power point onto projector, i take a look, they are trying to hook the network directly into the projector....

worst: installed new video card for user. it works for a day, spend 5 hours of warranty time on it, differnet card ect. 10 hours of personal time(after hours) after they complain that they dont wnat ot bring it to the shop any more. no go, offer complete refund, customer ok, when they drop it off they are pissed off that they cannot keep the free games ect that it came with (already cutting them a break becasue they threw the pacaking out as soon as they got it home) find problem 2 days later when we get a new card /w packaging. new packagin has big lable on it: NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ALI CHIPSETS. damn it!

    Im calling for help:

best: Dell, any time I ask my service manager to have spare parts on location rather than waiting for shipping they send me 3 of the parts + the one that needs replaceing now. And i dont have to ship them back once used.

Worst: symantec, took 2 hours to activate product. 1 hour on hold, and on hour taking to some indian trying to comunicate my product key. apperpetly they don't understand the difference beteween "A" and "E", or "B" and "E", "P" and "D" ect. trying to use radio call sign Alpha, Bravo, Charlie is beyoned them to he thought hte key was ALPH-ABRA-VOCH-ARLI-E ect. right up intill I had used more than 26 characters.
