    Vpn?

I have a guy who wants to take his Thinkpad (XP Pro) out of the office and still check his mail that is on the Exchange Server. I figured a VPN would be the way to go. The server is Small Business Server 2000. I have access to the router (basic Linksys).

I have not setup any VPN's and would like someone to point me to a few resources to get me started. What will be needed on the client, server and will any router do as long as I can forwarded ports?

If a VPN is not the best way, also let me know what any of you would do, please.

Indeterminism. There's nothing you can do about it.

Hey Jim, this link might be of some assistance. One thing the article did not mention was that if the person logging in is using WinXP SP2 you must open the ports in the security center. Good luck.
