What happened to... Athlon MP ?
I recall that back in 2002(?) motherboards with socket A dual CPU support were all the rage. What happened to the Athlon MP CPU?
Anyone know when (or why) they were withdrawn from the market?

Well they are out there and they are quite good.
Problem was that at the time the issue was cost. Still is for that matter.
2 MP Processors and the cost of the mother board was daunting.
Same as dual Xeon's with intel.
Tyan motherboards is one of the realy big names in dual processor boards for AMD MP processors. They still carry a very good selectiona nd the price has come down some
