Cannot get modem working in Win95!!!
Hi again, I want to thank all of the people who replyed to my letter. But one person in paricular hit the nail right on the head. The person with the username Reboot said that windows requires a PCI Communications device to talk to the modem correctly. This is the exact problem that I am having. I tried his sugestion and windows found the PCI communications device, but the problem is it asked me for a disk with the driver on it. I know that I do not have a disk with that driver on it. This is causing me alot of trouble. Does someone know somewhere to get the driver? It did not come with my motherboard drivers and window just puts it under the "other devices" catagory. I am sure this will fix my problem with my modem.
Please help if you can!
Thanx

Hi John;
I don't know if you have 98 or 95 but try this
Start>Help>enter system Information then select (and read ) the bottom two articles and use the information about your hardware and system to find the name of the manufacturer, any model numbers , serial# or versions and info aboout the drivers. this is for 98 maybe 95 has the same thing. If not in the device Manager highlight the problem device and select properties and try and find some names or numbers. If you do then try an find a web site for the manufacturer and then doenload the drivers that you need.
