How Much Power?
I have a client who does mobile xrays. He has a Dell PC mounter in a van. Now he wants to use Verizon's Wireless Access. I found that I can get a PCI to PCMCIA adapter but now we need to poer the PC while driving. I have been looking at 12v power inverters for cars but dont know how many Watts of power I need. It's a Dell 2.0GHZ, 512MB, 40GB w/ 15'' LCD. Anyone have experiance with this stuff?
Thanks

I have a toshiba laptop and we have a 100 watt adapter for the car. It runs the laptop just fine. We use it for playing DVD's and running programs while on the road. I would figure anything 75 watts or higher should work.

1000 watts is more than sufficient..if hes not using printer if yes then more power is required. You can gauge power requirement according to the sumation of individual components power requirement
For PC 1000 watt is more than sufficient.
