Please I want to download the rescue disks for PQMagic 8, i HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEM
I use the partition macig 8 demo version creating partitions to install linux. I forgot to create floopy rescue disks and my problem is that i have an external cd rom which is not working now(computer could not see it). When the system reboot to install linux i get a blue screen which tell to disable the programs whih i use for partiton. I try to make check disk in xp console but i the windows are locked and crushed. My only hope to save the hard disk and do not make format is the rescue disks.
I want if it is possible to download the rescue fllpy disks.
Thank you

Mmmm well I think the rescue disks are unique to your pc as they have copies of your partition info on them - maybe an undelete type util might yield some results ? .. but whats the bit above about ? Are you saying you've lost/aren't aware of your admin password ? Lots of linux ways past that

Welcome to windrivers forums shanmuga_au.
The symantec knowlege base says this (they write PM)
Create a Network Boot Disk:
Open Ghost Boot Wizard.
For Symantec Ghost 6.5, 7.0, and 7.5, choose Network Boot Disk.
For Norton Ghost 2001, 2002, and 2003, choose Peer-to-Peer Network Boot Disk.
Follow the prompts.
That'd make you a floppy methinks, then you could make that into a bootable cd via your favourite burning program (most have that feature).

Instructions for Creating a Partition Magic Boot CD
Hi,
I was wondering if you could also send me instructions for creating this CD. I've been trying to use Winimage and Nero to do it and it's not working.
Thanks,
Manzanita

Welcome to Windrivers manzanita
no need - PM8 is bootable unless you have an older version?

This happens when I either try to run pqmagic directly from the CD, or even when I set it to copy to the ramdrive. However, if I boot off the CD I created and then put Disk 2 of the partition magic recovery disks and run pqmagic.exe from there, it loads up fine. If I copy that same disk to the ram drive and run pqmagic.exe from there, it comes up with that error. So, I was hoping if you would please be able to post the link to your disk image, or email it to me?
Cheers,
Travis
That file has some attributes that make copying it some bother. You can change attibutes with the attrib command and change them back after copying.
