    Question quicksilver 2

    I bought a socket a board unknown.When received it was a quicksilver 2 CMT,has compaq#26225-001.Does anyone know who is the manufacter of this board or where to find manual.H-P,Compaq is no help since they do not sell boards.I am open to some good advise.Lost and confused

    Welcome to Windrivers Forums!

    QuickSilver motherboards were made by FIC (www.fica.com) for Compaq (HP), they are an OEM boards - so, do not expect much support from FIC...
    These boards (as far as I remember), were parts of Compaq Evo D-series Mini-Towers... Hope this will help somehow...

    You might want to reverify that P/N and try HP's PartSurfer website.

    Your number, 26225-001, doesn't cross to anything.

    BTW, HP does sell boards. They're just not cheap. HP = High-Priced!!!
