no windows sounds
i have no windows sounds in sp2. in control panel-sounds- the profile is 'default' and all the windows sounds work when i test them. sounds in programs work fine. i went into services.msc and my soundmax services were disabled. i changed them to automatic and rebooted but still no windows sounds.
is there a software switch somewhere that got turned off by accident?
any programs known to screw up windows sounds? thanks
