it's the 3.4 V of Spywareblaster that was causing the message,I just upgraded to it a few days ago, that was it.

SpywareBlaster thinks : "Why has this guy got such insecure ActiveX settings? I'll just fix that up for him..."

I don't want this thing to pop up on every banner ad,is there a middle place to set my security settings?

Interesting, I've got SpywareBlaster 3.4 installed, as far as I can tell all protection is enabled, but I don't get any ActiveX warning on banner ads.

What did you do to determine SB was the cause?

because if I disable protection in SB it stops.if I turn it back on it does it again.it did'nt do it with 3.3

Well I guess my Outpost firewall does block quite a few ads, that could be why I'm not getting any similar effect. But can you identify any common source for the ones causing the alerts? You might be able to disable one or two if they're in the Block List under Internet Explorer in SB.
