need sound card driver....

i was not getting any sound outa my box at work and tried uninstalling the sound driver......upon restart i'm being asked for the file 'ALSNDMGR.WAV' on Realtek AC97 Audio Driver Disc is needed.......i think i've got it at home but that's impossible right now.......i was wondering if anyone knows where to download this......i'm running windows ex pro......any help is appreciated......thanks.....tk

If you have a machine with a motherboard that is identical to other machines in the office, you can use one of their mainboard driver CDs. Otherwise you can check out: http://www.via.com.tw/en/index.jsp for the driver, but if you don't know the specific chipset on your motherboard, it will be hit or miss to get the correct driver.
