    No keyboard

    or mouse in Win XP SP2. kb works in bios, but when XP loads neither mouse or kb will, so it's not the ports. This started during a repair install. When it got about 2/3 of the way through they ceased functioning. Up until that point they worked fine (typing in cd key, navigating with mouse, etc. ) Anyone run into this?

    Resetting the bios default settings fixed it. Weird.

    Hmm, just "one of those things" I guess! But presumably the change in the BIOS was enough to make XP re-think.

    your right. sometimes it's just not worth the time to figure out why....
