No, I think pay membership has diminished, as need for drivers that you might have to pay for (OMG) has diminished. Additionally with the diminishing activity from members on the forum the eventual complete plummet of guest traffic will occur. Here we are Noon EDT and only 85 registered users have visited. last December that number was much closer to 350 at this same time, with the end of day total at least 400+...that's not counting any guests!
Well with lower activity, less hits, there will be problems finding advertising...and more lost revenue will ensue. No, Mayet, you are right only about one thing. Times have changed, but Windrivers will soon die it’s inevitable...

And your prounouncing the doom of this website???
Please.
I take things the way they are and work them to get done what needs to be done. I don't live in the glory days of the past or pull out a crystal ball to look into the future.
I guess you DO have a crystall ball that tells the future.. Care to give me the lotery numbers while your at it?!?

My statements are not predictions, I don't presume to know everything. I just stated my opinion, and the justification for that opinion. The future remains to be seen, so don’t go acting like I’m completely wrong, there’s still time for my opinion to be proven accurate.
One a separate note, I also think that the recent banning of some older members is a bad thing, in that what couldn’t be resolved was shoved under the rug. I would like to hear from management what's the deal with that???
Since the Lounge activity is down to a dull roar, nay a mere peep, and the tech forums are “handled”, Richard I am sure you have some time to respond and reflect on what has been said here…

Or simply, no one here has any ideas.
I fall into the catagory of "I did not see it, but seeing it now, i have no idea"
For example, I make a great Jack and Coke. 3/4 Jack and 1/4 Vanilla Coke. Computers are no longer my line of business so I promptly forgot everything and started taking regular baths. I also like sheep and $5 wine :butt:

IMO it's just the normal evolution of an online forum.
I realize it wasnt because of anything negative. Just the fact of some of the greater members who are always contributing are leaving. Everyone has their place here and when reading threads such as this you can expect to read something cynical, humorous, idiotic or what have you from certain users and when they are gone it leaves a void in the forums to me
However, I definitely agree with you about the slowdown. I think its just the market since it really hasnt made the great leaps in advancements here recently. I think people will start coming back as new technology comes around.

No, not really. The last time someone paid attention to what I said Windrivers almost got sued, half the members left (including me), and someone got a picture of me in a grass skirt covered head to toe in cool-whip and riding a pot-bellied pig.
*shutters* Do us all a favor and don't call the space monkies. Joan Rivers is back in town
